Condemning ISIS, also known as ISIL, and supporting the eradication of this radical Islamic group.

            Whereas, The radical Islamic group known as ISIS and ISIL has been named by the United Nations as being responsible for human rights abuses and war crimes. Amnesty International has reported ethnic cleansing by the group on a "historic scale". This group has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, India, and Russia. Over 60 countries are directly or indirectly waging war against ISIS or ISIL; and

            Whereas, The violent and barbaric methods, including suicide attacks on civilian targets and the widespread killing of prisoners and other innocent persons, including the recent killings by beheadings and burning alive are actions that must not be tolerated in the 21^st Century. The actions of this radical group and its extremism are even considered too severe by terrorist groups like al-Qaida; and

            Whereas, This radical Islamic group must be stopped and that can only be accomplished by its complete eradication; therefore, be it

            Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:

            The radical Islamic group known as ISIS and ISIL be condemned for its violent and barbaric methods and killings and that this radical group be eradicated by all means necessary; and, be it

            Further Resolved, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the Senate and House of Representative of the Congress of the United States and to the President of the United States.
